Lifestyle on board the ms Maasdaam
The ms Maasdam was named after the Maas River that flows through The Netherlands.
This impressive vessel has an eye-catching center piece, named Totem, this sculpture was designed by Luciano Vistosi using nearly two thousand pieces of glass which shimmer as they catch the light. You will find this work of art in a three-story atrium, with plenty of other pieces to discover on the ms Maasdam.
In the Rotterdam Dining Room you will find two intriguing abstract murals painted just for this location, whilst here you can also see a charcoal brazier from Japan. This item dates from the end of the Edo period, and is supplemented by a collection of seven iron teapots, to make this a truly unique dining room.
